Our Sessions

At Limepalm we deliver fun, creative drama clubs and sessions for all ages

We aim to help your child build self-confidence, communication skills and meet other children in a safe, yet informal environment. Through creative games and imaginative play, we explore drama and movement and the associated theatre arts, developing speaking and listening skills as well as the enjoyment of storytelling and live performance.

Everyone is welcome

All abilities are welcome at all our sessions and no previous experience is necessary.

In our sessions, every child is given the opportunity to work to the best of their abilities and we are proud of the progress our less confident children have made during their time with us.

Extra-curricular fun

School can be a daunting time for children of all ages many of whom are fearful of speaking in front of people, reading aloud and even working in groups. We make every effort to support these areas and are always thrilled to hear when one of our children has proudly participated in a school assembly or given a brilliant Show and Tell.

The work we do in our drama sessions support the National Curriculum, particularly literacy for the primary school aged children as well as English Language and Literature for the older children.

Recent themes have included:

Musical Theatre, Storytelling, Poetry, Heroes & Heroines + Autobiography, Shakespeare, Roald Dahl, David Walliams + Physical Comedy, Prop making, Mask making, Puppetry, Radio plays, Sound & Music, Public Speaking and Greek theatre.

What happens in each session?

“Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world.”

– Roald Dahl, Matilda
